Nightlife, Scuba Diving And All-Inclusives Vacations: Where Can I Find It All?

by Michelle
(Afghanistan)

I am returning from Afghanistan and would love to take a great vacation with my husband. It is our anniversary also so we want to do some other activities.

We love to scuba dive but also want to enjoy some type of nightlife. I love all-inclusives, especially if they include alcohol.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fun above and below the water?

Michelle

Hi Michelle,

First, let me say welcome back and a heartfelt "thank you" for your service. And congratulations on your anniversary.

Since you prefer all-inclusives, that will narrow your choice down a bit since not all islands have an all-inclusive option available.

Of the places that we have been, a few come to mind that would fit what you are looking for - scuba diving, nightlife and an all-inclusive.

The first would be Cozumel, Mexico. They have several all-inclusive hotels and the diving is superb. There is also a nice town (nicer when the cruise ships aren't in) with bars, restaurants, music, etc. You can read our articles on scuba diving in Cozumel here.

Another option in Mexico is the Riviera Maya. All-inclusives line the beach south of Playa del Carmen and the scuba diving is pretty good. Not as good as Cozumel though. Playa is a party town so that can keep you busy and there are a few Mayan ruins within a day trip distance. You can read our Riviera Maya dive trip report here.

Another choice could be Aruba that has the 3 things you are looking for - all-inclusives, diving and nightlife. The best diving is really wreck diving there. Reefs aren't so impressive. You can read about our scuba diving experience in Aruba here.

Hopefully this will give you and some other readers some ideas on where to go for all-inclusives, diving and nightlife.

Thanks for your question and let us know how it goes.

P.S.
Michelle, sorry this is a bit late.
