Scuba Diving Resort: CoCo View

by Kevin L.
(Boston, MA)

My wife and I have been to CoCo View Resort in Roatan, Honduras several times. It's a divers paradise there and we will be going back again.

The dive operation is first class and they make it easy to get in as many dives as you want. There is a boat dive every morning and afternoon. On the way back from the boat dive, you can be dropped off at the wall and then swim in to the resort.

The wall in front of the resort has lots of life and makes for a good second dive. There is also a wreck right in front of the resort. It's an old tanker that sits in about 60 feet of water. It makes for a great night dive too. You can't get much more convenient than that.

The dive staff is great and they set up all your gear and switch out tanks in between dives. You are free to take tanks whenever you want to do shore diving. They are open 24/7. In our week there we managed to get in 30 dives.

We had a bungalow which is built over the water. The room was fine but basic. It's more than adequate but don't expect luxury. Included in the price were 3 buffet style meals a day. The food was good but not out of this world. The staff was very friendly and nice which helped make the stay even more enjoyable.

All in all, it is a great place and good value for your money. It's pretty hard to beat and it keeps us coming back.
