Water Temperature in Montego Bay, Jamaica

by Anonymous

I am going to Montego Bay, Jamaica for a vacation in October and was wondering what the water temperature would be. Also, what type and/or thickness of wetsuit should I bring?

Hi,

You should have a great time in Montego Bay. The water should be around 80 degrees Fahrenheit in October. Nice and warm for you.

If you get chilly when you dive, you can try a wetsuit. For that water temperature, a 2mm or 3 mm wetsuit should be more than sufficient.

Personally, I think a shorty wetsuit should keep you warm but if you tend to get cold while diving you might want to try out a full wetsuit.

Have a great time and let us know how your trip goes.

Dianne
