Scuba Diving Review: St., Croix, US Virgin Islands

by Michael M.

Hi,

I'll start off by saying this site is great! I would like to tell you about my scuba diving trip to St. Croix in the USVI's.

I caught the scuba bug when I was 15 and its only gotten stronger over the last 3 years.

I am currently going to college for a recreation degree and hope to be an instructor soon and make that my career.

In November I went to St. Croix for a week. I understand your review but this my second dive trip the first being the Florida Keys. We did our diving with Cane Bay Dive Shop, they were great! Most of our diving were sites off the north shore and under a 10 minute boat ride each. A few sites were sea mount, salt river, twin palms, and rock point.

We also went off a Newton for a few dives on the wall. The diving was great by my novice opinion. As far as topside EATS, a restaurant that shares a wall with Cane Bay was out of this world! The Franksgiving burger is something everyone needs to
try once its a cheeseburger with turkey gravy, french fried onions and cranberry preserves.

Rowdy Joes has the best fish tacos I have ever eaten and most of the dive shop staff joined us for a night out here. Thedivemasters gave us a great tour of the island on the way to the boat in
fFredricksted.

Well here is my opinion on St. Croix if any of this ends up on the page I would greatly appreciate it. I am also considering living there at some point in my dive career, it had that much impact on me!

Well thanks for listening and keep this great site going!

Hi Michael,

Thanks for getting in touch. I think it is great you had a wonderful dive trip to St. Croix. That is the beauty of it - everyone will come away with a different experience.

And that Franksgiving burger sounds like something else!

If you do any more dives, please let us know how it went. It is always great to get different opinions and experiences. We can all learn from each other.

Good diving,
Dianne
