Diving with "Psycho" the barracuda in Key Largo, Florida

"Psycho" the barracuda in Key Largo, Florida

This picure of Psycho was taken Feb. 2008 on our second trip to Key Largo.

We love to stay at Amoray Dive Resort and dive with Justin and his crew. They are great and very knowledgeable.

"Psycho" is a HUGE barracuda and was making me a little nervous getting so close.

Yeah, this pic is NOT ZOOMED IN!!

Hi Stacey,

Thanks for the picture, it certainly brings back memories. I also met Psycho several years ago and, as you know, you don't easily forget him.

He followed us around for quite awhile before he took off for greener pastures - thank goodness. At one point he was zooming in on my husband and I and I put my husband between myself and Psycho.

Alls fair in love and war, right?

On our trip, it also so happened a girl on our dive boat was wearing the exact same wetsuit that the divemaster that usually feeds Psycho from his mouth wears.

Turns out Psycho followed her the entire time she was in the water. She opted to end her dive early. Can't say I blame her.

Thanks again for the picture and bringing back some pretty funny memories.

Dianne
