A Top Dive in the Pacific: Blue Corner, Palau

by Lourdes
(Puerto Rico)

Amazing soft corals and sponges, great fish action: sharks, rays, schools of barracuda, turtles, midnight snappers - and it comes to you!!! You are "hooked" to the reef with a "reef hook" (pick a piece of rock).

Hi Lourdes,

Thanks for the description. I would love to hear more.

I have read quite a bit about Palau and it is one of the scuba diving trips on my "to do" list (which just seems to get longer and longer!).

How were the currents when you were at the Blue Corner? I assume they were pretty strong if you had to use a reef hook. I haven't used a reef hook myself yet - I've only drifted along with the current.

Did you dive the German Channel and see some Manta Rays while you were there?

That is another dive site on my list when I finally make it to Palau. I love watching any type of ray - they are so graceful. I finally saw my first manta ray while diving in Thailand this past winter. Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see another one.

Thanks for the vote for Blue Corner in Palau. It sounds wonderful. One of these days...

Dianne
